Derek Michael Brennan is an artist and designer from Arizona. He first noticed a gift for art as a kid in the early 90’s when he began drawing lifelike renderings of his favorite NBA stars. By the end of high school he found himself inspired by skateboarding and the art culture surrounding the scene. As an artist he’s always been drawn to individuals, depicting people and characters most often in his work. His journey into the skate world years ago had the same intrigue---he found himself particularly attracted to the individuality of how each skateboarder uniquely interacts with their environment. This project is the perfect blend of his childhood love of basketball (and basketball cards) combined with his love of art and skateboarding.
